A fire alarm was reported while many Danbury fire units were tied up at multiple fire alarms and water problem calls on the frigid day.

S1 arrived at the scene with Danbury E26 right behind.

"A significant water problem was discovered" by the firefighters, the post said. Stony Hill firefighters assisted the Danbury firefighters at the scene, where frigid temperatures were causing problems with frozen pipes.

"A great example of local FDs utilizing resources to help the citizens of our communities," Stony Hill said in a Facebook post. "Stay warm and safe everyone."

"Thank you to Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company for your help this afternoon," the Danbury Fire Department said in a Facebook post.

Daytime highs in the teens and 20s, with overnight lows in the single digits and below zero are expected to continue in the area through the weekend.
